It’s been a busy time for Listen Up!, our ground-breaking artistic outreach program. We now have two permanent Listen Up! hubs - the first in Ottawa and our newest in Etobicoke.
Students from Sydenham and Frontenac public schools have been working with composer John Burge and poet Trevor Strong since last September.
This amazing education program has been running since last fall and brings together students from six different communities in the Northwest Territories.
Between May 26-30, 2015 the culmination residency for Listen Up! NWT will take place in Yellowknife, with kids and teachers from Fort Smith, Fort Simpson, Hay River, Inuvik, Norman Wells and Yellowknife participating.The project has been in progress since it launched in September 2014.
