Hollywood director Stanley Kubrick brought new dimension to films such as The Shining, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and A Clockwork Orange by harnessing the depth and power of well-known classical works. Eric Friesen hosts an evening celebrating the legendary director’s musical choices, with an all-star cast including Hinrich Alpers, the Gryphon Trio, the Cecilia String Quartet, the Penderecki String Quartet. “After Stanley Kubrick … (music) became absolutely an essential part of the narrative, intellectual drive of the film” – Film director Tony Palmer.
